ABOUT US
Forget Aging! Start Rejuvenating.
Longevity ends in death. Rejuvenation is about living.
We are not waiting for future generations to benefit from rejuvenation science. We are applying it to the living generation—now.
About KHL Foundation
The KHL Foundation is a Panamanian legal entity created to promote and provide access to scientifically grounded rejuvenation therapies for humans, especially those over 60, regardless of regulatory delay in any particular country.
Unlike most organizations in the longevity space, KHL is led by founders who are actively undergoing the therapies they support. We focus on real-world outcomes, personal data, and practical delivery through trusted clinical partners.
What Makes Us Different
- Founded and led by two octogenarian biohackers living the therapies they advocate.
- Focused on therapies available now — not just future promises
- Willing to operate across borders and systems to enable access.
- Guided by scientific rigor, lived experience, and ethical responsibility.
Our Focus Declarations
Therapies for humans
Rejuvenation science belongs to everyone — not just institutions, regulators, or future generations.
Therapies for Rejuvenation
Our work focuses on restoring function, vitality, and youthfulness through proven biological pathways.
Therapies Now
We bring forward what is safe, grounded, and available today — not ten years from now.
Therapies
We Live
Every therapy we support is one we personally experience, evaluate, and stand behind as healthy octogenarians.
Why we exist
Rejuvenation science is global. So are we.
Extraordinary advances are being made in gene therapy, regenerative medicine and the biology of aging. Yet promising technologies can spend years—or decades—moving through systems designed in another era. For people already in their seventies, eighties and nineties, those years matter.
From Panama, KHL works internationally with scientists, entrepreneurs, physicians, clinics and informed participants to move promising rejuvenation technologies from scientific possibility into carefully monitored human application, learn from the experience and perfect the process.
Science has no nationality. Neither does rejuvenation.
The living generation deserves the opportunity to participate.
Our Story
For more than two decades, Kenneth Scott and Helga Sands invested their time, money and commitment in one objective: getting promising rejuvenation therapies to humans.
Again and again, they supported scientists, companies and organizations pursuing remarkable technologies. Yet the same problem persisted. Promising science advanced, but human application remained somewhere in the future.
Eventually, Kenneth and Helga decided to stop passing responsibility for translation to others. They would manage the process themselves.
They teamed with Patrick Sewell, MD, CEO of Triple Helix Science, on the scientific front to create the Rejuvenation Cocktail. From the beginning, it was designed with older people particularly in mind—a population with the most immediate need for restored muscle, cognition, metabolic resilience and function, yet one routinely neglected in the development of emerging therapies.
At the same time, Kenneth and Helga moved forward on the organizational front, creating the KHL Foundation in Panama. KHL was not created simply to deliver one therapy. It was built as a framework for repeatedly moving promising rejuvenation technologies from scientific possibility into human application.
Within months, the two efforts came together. The Rejuvenation Cocktail became the first major demonstration of the model, and Kenneth and Helga became its first recipients. Further KHL initiatives are already beginning to follow.
Nobody handed them this responsibility. People in their ninth decade are more often expected to surrender responsibility than assume it. Kenneth and Helga did the opposite. They see older people not as society’s spent generation, but as an enormous reservoir of accumulated knowledge, talent and experience worth restoring and preserving.
We created the therapy, built the vehicle and established a process designed to do it again.
How we work
Develop. Apply. Monitor. Adapt.
Creating the therapy and the organization to deliver it confirmed something our earlier experience had already taught us: better science alone was not enough. We needed a better process for moving science into humans.
Creating the therapy and the organization to deliver it confirmed something our earlier experience had already taught us: better science alone was not enough. We needed a better process for moving science into humans.
So we developed one.
D
Develop
Find promising science and turn it into something that can actually be delivered. Bring together scientists, entrepreneurs, manufacturers, physicians and the resources needed to move from an idea to a usable therapy.
A
Apply
Get it into humans. At some point, laboratory promise has to become human experience. That is where we begin to discover what a therapy actually does.
M
Monitor
Measure what happens. Look for what we expected—and what we did not expect. Biomarkers matter, but so do strength, cognition, mobility, resilience and the everyday experience of the people receiving the therapy.
A
Adapt
Learn from the experience and make the next application better. Improve the therapy, the delivery, the measurements and the process itself. Then do it again.
Develop → Apply → Monitor → Adapt.
We call it DAMA.
It replaces waiting for the perfect answer with a continuing cycle of application, measurement, learning and improvement.
Meet the Founders
Kenneth Scott and Helga Sands are not observers of rejuvenation. They are participants.
Now in their ninth decade, they bring a lifetime of experience in science, business, finance, investment and entrepreneurship to KHL—and personally participate in the rejuvenation therapies they help bring to humans.

Meet The Co-Founder
Kenneth Scott
Entrepreneur, Scientist, Rejuvenation Pioneer — Living with the Insouciance of Youth.
Kenneth Scott (born 1942) is an entrepreneur, scientist, and longevity pioneer whose life bridges six decades of innovation — from aerospace engineering and economics to high-tech entrepreneurship and regenerative medicine.
After early work as an aeronautical engineer with the Royal Canadian Air Force and later as a labor economist for the Canadian government, Kenneth co-founded a technology company that delivered advanced software solutions to global brands including PepsiCo and Coca-Cola, and later served as CFO for a dot-com innovator that prefigured platforms like YouTube. He went on to develop a successful real estate portfolio, demonstrating a lifelong capacity to build, adapt, and thrive.
In recent years, Kenneth has become one of the world’s oldest active biohackers, personally experiencing cutting-edge therapies including follistatin gene therapy, Khavinson peptides, exosomes, and VSEL stem-cell rejuvenation. His significant improvements in biological age, muscle, function, and cardiometabolic health have made him a sought-after speaker and advisor in the longevity movement.
Kenneth’s worldview is shaped not only by scientific promise, but by a lifetime of witnessing environmental and societal degradation. In a recent interview in Madrid, he spoke candidly about the “chemical pollution” and ecosystem damage he has observed across decades, arguing that human rejuvenation must be understood in concert with planetary rejuvenation — because both systems are breaking down under the same pressures.
And yet, despite that sober realism, Kenneth lives with extraordinary vitality.
In his eighth decade, he has returned to the insouciance of youth — moving through the world with curiosity, boldness, delight, and a willingness to challenge convention:
“At this stage of life, you don’t carry the weight of approval anymore. You’re free — to experiment, explore, and enjoy being fully alive.”
As co-founder of the KHL Foundation, Kenneth is dedicated to making effective rejuvenation therapies available now, for people who still have decades of life to claim — and who refuse to age according to schedule.

Helga Sands
Rejuvenation Expert, b. 1938
Investor, longevity expert, and pioneering former finance executive, Helga blends analytical rigor with a deep commitment to advancing rejuvenation science. Now in her ninth decade, she continues to study, experiment, and champion longevity with fearless joy.
Meet The Co-Founder
Helga Sands
Longevity Expert • Scientific Insider • Investor & Philanthropist • Biohacker • Naturalist
Helga Sands (born 1938, Germany) is one of the most respected and enduring figures in the global longevity movement. For more than 25 years, she has immersed herself in the science of aging, becoming a recognized authority on supplements, metabolic optimization, rejuvenation therapies, and the practical application of emerging research.
Before entering the longevity space, Helga built a distinguished career in international finance. She held influential positions in the financial markets at NatWest and Paine Webber, and became the first female director at Nomura, breaking barriers in an era when senior roles for women in global finance were exceedingly rare. Her analytical rigor, quantitative skill, and strategic insight became hallmarks of her professional identity — qualities that later translated naturally into her scientific work.
Her longevity expertise is grounded in decades of disciplined study, extensive self-experimentation, and direct engagement with the research community. Helga is known for her rigorous evaluation of new therapies and for personally validating any intervention she considers promising. Her intellectual clarity and lived experience have made her a trusted advisor to leading researchers, biotech founders, and clinicians, many of whom rely on her unique combination of scientific understanding and practical insight.
As both an early-stage biotech investor and a philanthropic supporter of research, Helga has helped advance pioneering work in age reversal, gene therapy, and regenerative medicine. She has also supported cultural and scientific institutions, reflecting her belief that longevity must enrich both the body and the human spirit.
Now in her ninth decade, Helga is a vibrant, intellectually fierce, and joyful octogenarian, admired for the insouciance of youth that defines her presence — a fearless curiosity, a freedom from convention, and an embrace of possibility. She stands as a compelling example of what active, engaged longevity can look like.
Her life beyond science is equally remarkable. In London, she is known as a devoted protector of peregrine falcons and other birds of prey, responding at any hour to rescue injured birds and coordinate their care. She travels widely to observe orchids in the wild and brings a refined aesthetic sensibility to interior design. These pursuits reveal the multidimensional nature of her character — a woman who studies life, protects it, and seeks its beauty in many forms.
As co-founder of the KHL Foundation, Helga contributes her expertise, her credibility, her investment acumen, and her deeply engaged spirit. She is committed to ensuring that effective rejuvenation therapies become accessible now — especially for those over 60 who are ready to reclaim vitality, independence, and meaning in the years ahead.
“Longevity is not about resisting age. It is about living intelligently, joyfully, and fully — at every stage of life.”
Books, research and publications
KHL's ideas do not stop at the clinic.
We write about what we have learned, challenge conventional thinking about aging, develop the scientific and policy arguments behind what we do, and put those ideas into books and the scientific literature.

Born to Live
Reflections from My 9th Decade
Kenneth Scott
Written from the perspective of more than eight decades of living, working, experimenting and refusing to accept conventional expectations of age, Born to Live explores what it means not simply to survive into old age, but to remain independent, engaged and purposeful.
The book introduced ideas that continue to shape KHL’s thinking, including the distinction between simply living longer and retaining the function and independence that make those years productive and enjoyable.

Forget Aging, Start Rejuvenating.
Kenneth Scott & Helga Sands
The next book takes the argument considerably further.
Forget Aging! Start Rejuvenating. starts from a different premise: aging is no longer something we should simply describe, manage or accept. Emerging science increasingly gives us the opportunity to restore lost function and rejuvenate the living generation.
Drawing on Kenneth and Helga’s personal experience, their work with emerging therapies and the development of KHL, the book examines rejuvenation function by function—from muscle, hearing, vision, teeth and skin to the brain and other organs—and asks a practical question:
What can we do now?
At its heart is the KHL approach: Develop → Apply → Monitor → Adapt.

Integrated Longevity Triad (ILT)
The Integrated Longevity Triad is the technical specification underlying the KHL Rejuvenation Cocktail. It describes the rationale for combining Follistatin, Klotho and SIRT1 in a single rejuvenation strategy and the biological pathways through which the three interventions are intended to work together.
The paper has been submitted for publication to SEMAL and is available here as a KHL publication.

Rejuvenation for the Living Generation
Rethinking Translational Medicine in an Era of Biological Plasticity
Kenneth Scott
For decades, remarkable advances in biomedical science have been accompanied by a persistent problem: getting them to humans takes too long.
This policy analysis examines why promising interventions can remain trapped between scientific discovery and human application, why that delay matters especially to people already in later life, and how a different translational model can accelerate learning and application. It introduces Develop → Apply → Monitor → Adapt (DAMA) as a practical alternative.
Submitted to The Milbank Quarterly for peer-reviewed publication. The manuscript is currently under editorial consideration and is not being publicly distributed while the journal considers it.

Defining Longevity
Kenneth Scott
What does it actually mean to achieve longevity?
This paper challenges the conventional use of life expectancy and survival alone as measures of longevity. It proposes a simple two-part definition: reach an advanced age and retain functional independence.
Under that definition, reaching 80 while remaining able to manage one’s own mobility, personal care and affairs means something fundamentally different from merely surviving to 80.
The paper develops this definition as a measurable concept with implications for medicine, public policy and the way societies judge progress in aging.
